Priyanka Chopra becomes UNICEF’s Global Goodwill Ambassador

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been appointed as UNICEF’s newest global Goodwill Ambassador. Her appointment was announced at a celebration to commemorate 70 years of UNICEF. The celebrations were held at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
UNICEF was established in 1946 by the United Nations to protect the children struggling to survive in the aftermath of World War II. UNICEF works to promote the rights and well-being of children and works in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action.
