The difference between a discount of 30% on 2000 Rs. and two successive discounts of 25% and 5% on the same amount is :
[A]25 Rs.
[B]30 Rs.
[C]35 Rs.
[D]40 Rs.

25 Rs.
$latex Discount = \frac{30\times 2000}{100} = 600\ Rs.&s=1$
Single equivalent discount for discounts of 25% and 5%.
$latex = \left ( 25+5-\frac{25\times 5}{100} \right )\%&s=1$
$latex = \left ( 30 – 1.25 \right )\% = 28.75\%$
$latex \therefore Discount\ = \frac{28.75\times 2000}{100} = 575 Rs.&s=1$
∴ Diffrence = (600 – 575) = 25 Rs.
Hence option [A] is correct answer.
