The Neeraj Kumar Gupta committee has been constituted by the Union government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to boost cashless transaction. The purpose of the 7-member committee is to increase card acceptance infrastructure and fix interchange fee for credit cards. The taskforce will also work at ways in which cardpayers needn’t pay a surcharge for fuel, utility bills and railway bookings.
