Mohammad-Bin-Tughlaq
Muhammad-bin-Tughlaq, known as the 'Prince of Moneyers', introduced token currency in 1329-30, equating copper and brass coins with silver. The initiative failed due to counterfeiting and lack of a central mint. He also moved the capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, causing chaos, and implemented a failed agricultural tax in the Doab, resulting in famine and unrest.
