Notes: Bahman Pestonji Wadia, commonly known as B.P. Wadia, was a prominent theosophist and labour activist born on 8th October 1881 in Mumbai, India and passed away on 20th August 1958 in Bangalore, India. He was initially part of the Theosophical Society Adyar, and later joined the United Lodge of Theosophists. On 13th April 1918, together with V. Kalyanasundaram Mudaliar, Wadia founded the Madras Labour Union, one of the first ever organised labour unions in India.
