Notes: The Union government plans to map all drinking water assets, including pipelines under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), on PM Gati Shakti, a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based platform. Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), launched on 15th August 2019, aims to provide Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) with safe drinking water to all rural households by 2024. The mission follows a community approach with strong Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) components. Ministry of Jal Shakti is the nodal ministry of Jal Jeevan Mission.
