Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hoogli river
The National Waterway 1 or NW-1 runs from Haldia (Sagar) to Allahabad across the Ganges, Bhagirathi and Hooghly river systems. It is 1,620 km long, making it the longest waterway in India. It is always known as Ganga-Bhagirathi-Hooghly river system. The NW-1 passes through West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
