Kishanganga Hydroelectric Plant, located in Bandipora in Jammu and Kashmir, is a bone of contention between India and Pakistan. Its construction temporarily halted by the Hague’s Permanent Court of Arbitration in October 2011 due to Pakistan’s protest of its effect on the flow of the Kishanganga River (called the Neelum River in Pakistan).
