Notes: Prince Azim-ush-Shan was the son of Bahadur Shah I, and the grandson of Aurangzeb. He was made the Subedar of Bihar in 1702. In 1703, he transferred the capital to Rajmahal and then again to Patliputra. He also renamed Patliputra as Azimabad after his own name.
