Intelligence Agents
During Medieval India, the Barid-i-Mumalik was the head of the intelligence and news-gathering branch of the Delhi Sultanate that reigned between 1210 and 1526. Tasked with collecting, reporting, and assessing information significant to the Sultan, such intelligence was deemed critical for effective local governance. Throughout the vast country, these intelligence agents known as Munihiyan or reporters, dispatched their surveillance data to the Barid-i-Mumalik.
