Notes: The 13th amendment of Indian constitution provided for the formation of State of Nagaland. It amended Article 170 and inserted new article 371A for this end. Earlier, an agreement was made in July 1960 between the Government of India and the leaders of Naga People’s Convention to incorporate the state of Nagaland in to the Union of India.
