Answer: To fight a case of a Gujarati Businessman.
Notes: Gandhiji got an offer from Dada Abdulla, a South African businessman of Gujarati origin and who knew the Gandhi family to help him fight his court cases in South Africa. He accepted the offer and in April 1893 he left for Durban.
