Notes: Hari Singh Nalwa (1791–1837) was the Sikh Khalsa army Commander-in-chief who expanded the Sikh Empire beyond the Indus up to the Khyber Pass. He played key roles in conquering Kasur, Sialkot, Multan, Kashmir, Attock, Peshawar, and Jamrud. Nalwa also served as Governor of Kashmir and Peshawar.
