Notes: After the fall of Tipu Sultan in 1799, Mysuru Dasara celebrations were resumed in Mysore city under the initiative of Maharani Lakshmammanni. As the Maharaja, Mummadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, was only five years old at the time, it was Maharani Lakshmammanni who played a pivotal role in reviving this grand tradition.
