Hansa Jivraj Mehta a social activist who served in the constituent assembly from 1946-1949,was a Padma Bhushan awardee. She was a member of the Fundamental rights sub-committee, the advisory committee and the provincial constitutional committee.
Durgabai Deshmukh was an Indian freedom fighter, lawyer, social worker and politician. She was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India and of the Planning Commission of India.
Rajkumari Amrit Kaur was elected to the Constituent Assembly from the Central Provinces and Berar province on a Congress ticket.
