Notes: Hum Log (English: We People) is an Indian television serial and the first serial drama series in Hindi. It started broadcasting on the Indian National Network Television on 7 July 1984, which was the only television channel in India at that time. It is the story of an Indian middle-class family in the 1980s and their daily struggles and aspirations. It was created using the educational-entertainment method in the Mexican television series Wen Conmigo (1975).
