The Central Government has launched the Aravalli Green Wall initiative to restore degraded land along the Aravalli mountain range from Gujarat to Delhi. The Aravalli Green Wall Project is a major initiative to develop a 5 km green buffer zone along the Aravalli Hills. It is part of the Union Environment Ministry's plan to build green corridors and fight land degradation and desertification. The project spans over 6 million hectares across Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Delhi where the Aravalli landscape exists.
