During the time of winter season, the weather in India is typically influenced by the pressure distribution in central and in western Asia. A high-pressure belt is developed on the Northern side of the Himalayan range and it causes air movement from the Northern side towards the Southern side of the mountain range. It makes the whole North-Western region dry during the winter season.
