- The Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy organised an offshore security exercise, ‘Prasthan’ in the Offshore Development Area (ODA) off Mumbai. This exercise is conducted after every six months, to ensure offshore security.
- A joint maritime exercise Paschim Lehar (XPL-2022) conducted by the Indian Navy off the West Coast was concluded on 25 January 2022. Its objective was to validate operational plans of the Western Naval Command and enhance Inter-Service synergy among the Indian Navy, IAF, Indian Army and Coast Guard. The exercise was conducted under the aegis of Western Naval Command.
- The 20th edition of the Bilateral Naval Exercise between Indian and French Navies – 'VARUNA' was conducted in the Arabian Sea from 30 March – 03 April 2022. The Bilateral Naval Exercises between the two Navies were initiated in 1993.
- MILAN is a biennial multilateral naval exercise incepted by Indian Navy in 1995 at Andaman and Nicobar Command. 2020 edition of MILAN was postponed to 2022 due to COVID-19. MILAN 2022 was conducted from 25 Feb 22 in the ‘City of Destiny’, Visakhapatnam.
