Notes: The Karnataka government has fixed the weight of schoolbags from classes 1 to 10 in May 2019. The state government has made it clear that a school bag should not weigh more than 10 per cent of the student's average body weight. The circular has also advised the schools that every third Saturday of every month should be observed as a bagless day. It also asked teachers to make sure students are engaged in educational and cultural activities.
