Notes: Shab-e-Barat is an Islamic festival known as the Night of Liberation. On this day, it is believed that the Almighty forgives the sins of those who pray throughout the year and rewards them with luck. It is believed that on the night of Shab-e-Barat, Allah writes down the destinies of all men and women in the coming year taking into account the deeds done by them in the past. Most Shia Muslims also celebrate this festival as the birth anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Mahdi.
