Notes: Veteran Indian advocate Harish Salve has been recently appointed as Queen's Counsel (QC) for the courts of England and Wales. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Justice Department of the United Kingdom while the Queen appoints the QC, on the advice of the Lord Chancellor.The title of Queen's Counsel is generally awarded to the lawyers, who possess extra-ordinary skills and expertise in advocacy. Senior Indian Advocate Harish Salve served as the Solicitor General for India from 1999 to 2002. He also represented India before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
