Public Accounts Committee
The Public Accounts Committee is called the twinsister of the Estimates Committee. It is its duty to scrutinize the appropriation accounts and the report of the Comptroller and Auditor-General (CAG) of India. Unlike the Estimates Committee, it has at its disposal the expert advice of the CAG based upon a detailed examination of the government’s accounts.
