Q. What was the ruling period of Rashtrakutas ?
Answer: 753 - 973 A.D.
Notes: In 753 AD, Dantidurga founded Rashtrakuta empire in Deccan by overthrowing Kirtivarman II (the ruler of Chalukyas of Badami). In 973 AD, the dynasty came to an end as the last ruler of Rashtrakuta dynasty Kakka II (Karka) was killed by Tailpa II ( the descendant of old Chalukya empire). Hence, Taipa II founded the dynasty of Chalukyas of Kalyani.
