Answer: Developing industries and generating employment in the North East Region
Notes: The Union Cabinet, led by the Prime Minister of India, approved the Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme, 2024 (UNNATI – 2024 scheme), proposed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, for the North East Region. Aimed at fostering industrialization and employment, the scheme has a ten-year duration, effective until March 31, 2034, with a financial outlay of Rs. 10,037 crore. Divided into Parts A and B, it focuses on incentivizing eligible units and implementing institutional arrangements, respectively, to promote overall socio-economic development in the region.
