Notes: The Partition of Bengal was made by then Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon, on 16 October 1905. Curzon partitioned Bengal and formed two new provinces of manageable size – East and West Bengal. East Bengal was a majority MuslimProvince, while West Bengal was a Hindu Majority province. Bengal was reunited by Lord Hardinge in 1911.
