Tiputini Biodiversity Station was established in 1995 by the University San Francisco de Quito in collaboration with Boston University to accommodate the academic community and discerning naturalists, located in the Amazonian region of Ecuador in the northern bank of Tiputini River, which also forms part of the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve and Yasuni National Park. The goals of this station are to promote understanding of rainforest ecosystems through education, research and ecotourism by providing an opportunity to experience a pristine environment.
