Q. The hanging of the sepoy of the Barrackpore unit Mangal Pandey took place on which date?
Answer: 8th April 1857
Notes: Mangal Pandey was a sepoy of the 34th Native Infantry of Barrackpore unit. He fired at the sergeant major of the unit. Later he was accused and scheduled to be hanged on 18th April. But he was hanged ten days before on 8th April 1857.
