Recently, the government upgraded the Sugamya Bharat App to improve accessibility support for Divyangjan, meaning persons with disabilities, and elderly citizens. The revamped app now has Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbot support to help users in real time. It also includes details about government schemes and resources for persons with disabilities. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment launched the app in 2021 to let people report accessibility problems in public places, transport, and digital systems. Since its launch, about three thousand complaints have been received, and around two thousand have been resolved, showing positive impact.
