Notes: India Nepal Friendship Train is a 34.50 km-long rail section. It is the first section of rail line links between both the countries. It runs berween Jaynagar in Madhubani district of Bihar to Kurtha in Mahottari district of Nepal. Cost of this rail section is 619 crore. The rail link has been set up by IRCON under India – Nepal friendship rail project, for which finance was granted by the Indian government. Remaining rail line will be built in two phases. 17-km-long second section will link Kurtha and Bhangaha, on the other hand, third phase is 17-km-long, extend from Bhangaha to Bardibas. Indian Railways delivered two modern DEMU trains to Nepal for this railway link.
