Notes: The government plans to expand the Parvatmala Pariyojana, a national ropeways development program, to at least 400 projects in the next five years. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways oversees the project, with implementation entrusted to the National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), a 100% owned subsidiary of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Last year, plans were announced to develop over 250 projects with a ropeway length exceeding 1,200 kilometers in five years.
