Ojapali is one of the most distinctive folk dances of Assam, symbolizing the great tradition and cultural heritage of the state. Ojapali focuses on stories from epics and myths. It is associated with the worship of Manasa Devi. The story is divided into three parts- Deva Khand, Bania Khand, and Bhatiali Khand. His dance is a clear proof of many aspects of Indian classical dances such as 'Hasta', 'Gati', 'Bhramari', 'Utplavan', 'Asana' etc.
