A newly-discovered Kajin Sara lake in Manang district of Nepal is expected to set a new world record of being the world’s highest lake. It is located at an altitude of 5,200m, which is yet to be officially verified. Currently, Tilicho lake in Nepal holds the title, which is situated at an altitude of 4,919m in the Himalyan nation. Tilicho lake is 4 km long, 1.2 km wide and around 200m deep.
