Notes: The songs and poems of Kazi Nazrul Islam were frequently used during the Bangladesh Liberation War. He wrote a lot of Islami Ghazals and also wrote a number of ‘Shyama Sangeet’ (songs for the Hindu Mother Goddess, Kali). He became famous after writing the poem ‘Bidrohi’ in 1922.
