Notes: Bihar movement was started in 1974. It was led by the veteran Gandhian socialist Jay Prakash Narayan against misrule and corruption in the state government. The movement later turned against Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s government at the centre. It was also called Sampoorna Kranti (Total Revolution Movement) and JP Movement.
