Rama Raya, statesman of the Vijayanagara and the progenitor of the Aravidu dynasty of Vijayanagar Empire was killed in the Battle of Talikota and after that Vijayanagara was captured and destroyed. After his death,Vijayanagara Empire got fragmented into several semi-independent principalities.
