Notes: The Indian Army’s Spear Corps and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) conducted Exercise Achook Prahar in central Arunachal Pradesh (Aug 25–28, 2025) to validate joint operational preparedness. The drill involved mortars, machine guns, rockets, and grenades, highlighting interoperability in high-altitude warfare. The ITBP, raised in 1962 after the Sino-Indian War, guards the 3,488 km India-China border through 197 Border Outposts at altitudes up to 18,750 ft. It functions under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is a specialised mountain force, and has the motto “Shaurya–Dridhata–Karma Nishtha”.
