Notes: Jagat Narayan Lal was imprisoned in Bankipur Jail. Bankipur Central Jail was a colonial prison located in Patna. Many Prominent leaders like Dr. Rajendra Prasad, J.B. Kriplani, Anugrah Narayan Sinha etc. were imprisoned here during the Struggle for India's Independence. Jagat Narayan Lal was a freedom fighter who played a major role in making the modern Bihar. He became the General secretary of All India Hindu Mahasabha at its calcutta session in 1926. He was a member of the Indian National Congress and of the Constituent Assembly. He was a significant contributor to the debates and issues that chartered the course of the Indian independence.
