Narsinh Mehta was a 15th century poet and a devotee of Lord Krishna. He was an exponent of Vaishnava poetry. His bhajan Vaishnav Jan To was Mahatma Gandhi's favorite and has become synonymous with him. He penned more than 750 poems, called padd in Gujarat. They mainly deal with devotion to Lord Krishna, gyan (wisdom) vairagya (detachment from worldly affairs). He is regarded as adikavi (the first poet) and bhakta kavi (devout poet) in Gujarati literature.
Chamarasa was a 15th century Virashaiva poet in the Kannada language, during the reign of Vijaynagar Empire. A contemporary and competitor to a noted Brahmin Kannada poet Kumara Vyasa, Chamarasa was patronised by King Deva Raya II.

Ravidas was an Indian mystic poet-saint of the Bhakti movement and founder of the Ravidassia religion during the 15th to 16th century CE.
