Notes: India’s Girish Gupta won gold in the 10m air pistol men youth event at the 16th Asian Shooting Championship in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. The 17-year-old scored 241.3 in the final, surpassing compatriot Dev Pratap, 14 years old, who shot 238.6 to win silver. India ended Day One with two gold and three silver medals. Kapil Bainsla from Palwal, Haryana, won gold in the junior men’s air pistol with a score of 243.0. Uzbekistan’s Ilkhombek Obidjonov secured silver, while Jonathan Gavin Antony of India won bronze with 220.7. Kapil, Jonathan, and Vijay Tomar together won team silver with 1723 points, while Korea took gold and Kazakhstan bronze.
