The last ruler of the Bengal Sultanate was Daud Khan Karrani. His reign culminated in his defeat and subsequent execution at the Battle of Rajmahal in 1576 A.D. This marked the end of the Bengal Sultanate, which then became a province of the Mughal Empire. The Karranis were a dynasty of Afghan origin, who ruled over Bengal from 1564 to 1576 A.D.
