Notes: Bihar's biggest hydroelectric project will be started at Dagmara in Supaul district of Bihar. It will generate clean and green power. It is the first of its kind project in the state. The project will be installed as about 60 kilometres downstream of the river and above the Kosi bridge. The hydroelectric plant will be set up at Bhaptiyahi village on left bank of Kosi river. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar approved this project on April 18, 2021. Later on June 14, 2021, a MoU was signed between National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) and Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited to develop the project. It is being set up at an estimated cost of Rs 240 billion.
