Notes: Iltutmish appointed Malik Jani as the Governor of Bihar. In 1225, Iltutmish ordered his army to reoccupy Bihar and Bengal. His army reoccupied Bihar and was prepared to attack Bengal. Sultan Ghiyasuddin pleaded with Iltutmish not to attack Bengal and in return, he will accept the suzerainty of Delhi. Iltutmish accepted the offer and ordered his army to return to Delhi and appointed Malik Jani as the Governor of Bihar.
