Notes: Ratnākaraśānti, a leading Vajrayana scholar at Vikramaśilā (late 10th–mid 11th century CE), was Atīśa’s teacher. He synthesized Yogācāra and Madhyamaka, authored major texts, influenced Tibetan Buddhism, and held the title kalikālasarvajña. He led the university’s eastern gate and taught many future Buddhist masters.
