Aurangzeb, known as "Zinda Pir" for his austere lifestyle, avoided luxury, earned money by stitching caps and copying the Quran, banned music and dance, enforced strict Islamic laws, and oversaw the destruction of Hindu temples. His reign included the compilation of the Fatawa-e-Alamgiri but led to unrest and the decline of the Mughal Empire.
