- The state of Karnataka has launched a new health scheme, Jyothi Sanjeevani for its employees. It is a cashless scheme meant for serious diseases/illnesses extended to serving Government employees and their family members. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai assured the Legislative Council that he would review if State Government pensioners could be brought under the Jyothi Sanjeevini scheme.
- Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana is launched by Madhya Pradesh government. The government pays farmers the difference between official Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the rate at which they sell their crops or Model Price whichever is higher. It was launched in 2017.
- Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi is a centrally sponsored scheme. It aims at providing financial assistance to the patients who live under the poverty line. The scheme covers patients suffering from diseases that are identified as life-threatening. As a part of this scheme, patients can avail of medical treatment at any hospital or institute providing super-speciality facilities or at any other government hospital. Earlier referred to as the National Illness Assistance Fund, the scheme was established in 1997 under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
