The Iqtadari was a land management system in the Iltutmish Sultanate, dividing the empire into Iqtas assigned to nobles, officers, and soldiers for administration and revenue. Iqtas were transferable every three to four years, with small Iqtas held by soldiers without administrative duties. This system supported a standing army without direct state costs, and Iltutmish established the Diwan-i-Arz to record Iqtas.
