Ministry of Rural Development
CAPART is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, established in 1986. It serves as a catalyst for developing suitable technologies for rural areas and executing projects to enhance rural prosperity. CAPART's projects are not channeled through State Departments/District Administration. Instead, monitoring, evaluation, and selection of NGOs are performed directly by the CAPART Headquarters in New Delhi and its regional offices spread across different parts of India.
