Notes: The "Sweet Revolution" is an initiative by the central government which is focused mainly on the promotion of honey production. Under the National Bee Keeping and Honey Mission, the government has selected 17 districts in Bihar and sanctioned Rs 1.30 crore for the project. This initiative will also generate employment, especially for women’s groups and farmer cooperatives, with women receiving 30% of the project’s benefits. This will further enhance the demand for Bihar’s honey in both domestic and international markets, thereby enhancing export opportunities.
