Q. What is Dunagiri, which was recently launched by the Union Defence Minister?
Answer: Stealth frigate
Notes: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh launched the P17A stealth frigate Dunagiri, named after a mountain range in Uttarakhand. It was built by PSU Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers. P17A ships are guided-missile frigates and Dunagiri is the fourth P17A ship.  The first two ships of the P17A Project were launched in 2019 and 2020. The third ship ‘Udaygiri’, was recently launched in Mumbai.
